His feet are like bronze glowing in a furnace, and His voice is like the sound of rushing waters (Revelation 1:14-15). In His right hand, He holds seven stars, and out of His mouth comes a sharp double-edged sword. His face is like the sun shining in all its brilliance (Revelation 1:16).
John’s Reaction and Christ’s Assurance
When John sees Him, he falls at His feet as though dead. Then Jesus places His right hand on him and identifies Himself as the First and the Last, the Living One who was dead, and behold, is alive forevermore, and holds the keys of death and Hades (Revelation 1:17-18). Jesus instructs John to write down what he has seen, what is now and what will take place later (Revelation 1:19).
